Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law. If MasterSmith Audio software fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, MasterSmith Audio will provide a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy as required by law.
1. CHANGE-OF-MIND REFUNDS
Because MasterSmith Audio products are downloadable digital software, change-of-mind refunds will not normally be provided after purchase.
A refund will not be provided merely because:
- the customer has completed audio processing and no longer requires the software;
- the customer does not personally prefer the audible result, provided the software operates as described;
- the customer purchased the wrong licence or product without first checking its description;
- the customer’s computer does not meet the published system requirements; or
- a third-party platform, distributor or service rejects an output for reasons outside MasterSmith Audio’s control.
These limitations do not exclude any right or remedy available under applicable law.
2. FAULTS AND CONSUMER GUARANTEES
MasterSmith Audio products come with rights and consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
If the software is faulty, materially different from its description, unfit for a disclosed purpose or otherwise fails an applicable consumer guarantee, the customer may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation or compensation, depending on the circumstances and seriousness of the problem.
MasterSmith Audio may first request reasonable information and an opportunity to investigate or correct the reported fault.
3. REFUND REQUESTS
Refund requests must be submitted through the MasterSmith Audio Contact page and should include:
- the purchaser’s name and email address;
- the order or licence number;
- the product purchased;
- the date of purchase;
- a clear description of the problem; and
- any relevant error message or screenshot.
Customers should not send confidential music or project files unless specifically requested and they choose to do so.
4. LICENCE CANCELLATION
If a refund is issued, the licence ends and you must stop using the refunded software.
Issuing a refund does not give MasterSmith Audio any ownership or royalty interest in audio previously processed using the software.
5. PAYMENT-PROVIDER REFUNDS
Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method. Processing times may depend on the payment provider and the customer’s financial institution.
Any payment-provider terms that apply do not exclude rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
